Katerina + Shay Miami Beach, Fl

It was evident from the first moment I spoke to Katerina & Shay that they were best friends! You know I always love a good story and Kat & Shay have one of the sweetest and most unique, so let me bring you up to speed!

Kat is from Toronto, Canada and Shay is from Coral Springs, Florida, but they would find themselves meeting in the most unlikely of places, Sydney, Australia! They were both studying abroad through their universities at the University of New South Wales in Sydney. Shay was doing a semester abroad for his Masters program while Kat was in undergrad. They met at the bar, had a tequila shot, exchanged phone numbers and the rest is history!

The crazy thing is that they had no idea that they were both studying at the same University! However, next thing you know they integrated their friend groups and began to hang out. They would travel all over Australia, New Zealand, and Thailand with their friends before going their separate ways. But they kept their long distance relationship, traveling back and forth throughout that timeframe until Shay would make the move up to Toronto which brings us to this sweet moment!

They had family and friends come from all over the world to celebrate their wedding at the beautiful Betsy Hotel in Miami Beach, Florida and it couldn’t have been a more beautiful day! Kori, their adorable pup, was also in tow for the festivities! (Wait till you see the cuteness!)

First Look

 As we were waiting for the first look, Shay kept asking, “Is she coming?”. The anticipation was real and those first few moments as I watched Katerina walk up to her fiancé smiling ear to ear, the overwhelming excitement and love I witnessed in their reactions was palpable!

What a special day this way! They danced the night away, with cut out heads, light sticks and all! I’m so grateful to get to capture and share moments like this! Kat & Shay you guys are amazing and I wish you many years of love!
